CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist

Join a dynamic and growing machine shop that specializes in Swiss Lathe operations. We are seeking a skilled Set Up Machinist to handle our Miano/Citizen Swiss Lathe, focusing on setup and operation rather than programming.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathe machines, including Miano and Citizen models.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure precision in machining processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide machine setups.
• Conduct machine offsets and manage operations effectively.
• Unload and bring machines to a home position after operations.
• Collaborate with programmers and manage multiple machines simultaneously (up to three).

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience with CNC Swiss Lathe, particularly Hyundai Wai or Citizen models.
• Proficiency in using Fanuc or Mitsubishi Controls.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in setting up machines, performing offsets, and managing operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Miano Lathe (Fixed head stock) is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, well-organized shop located in Warren. The role is a first-shift position from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday shifts based on production needs. Enjoy a stable schedule with no weekend work, allowing for work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
