Cnc Mill Machinist

The CNC Mill Machinist will work in the Tool Room area of the production floor, collaborating with Tool & Die Makers to create parts for new tools and dies. This position is not a production CNC Mill Machining role, but rather involves facing new challenges daily, such as setting up and operating machines based on drawings for new parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up vertical and horizontal milling machines using drawings.
• Install tools, fixtures, and workpieces, adjusting machine settings like speed, feed, and depth to ensure accurate parts.
• Perform necessary offset and depth adjustments to achieve proper hole sizes, pocket dimensions, and other critical features.
• Design, build, set up, and qualify fixtures for production machining of metal stamped parts.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' experience setting up CNC Vertical Mills.
• Proficiency in using G-Code.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50lbs consistently throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 3-axis FANUC controlled vertical mills.
• Experience in a metal stamping environment.
• Familiarity with blueprints, machining, milling, and CAM software.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
