CNC Machinist

Operate and manage CNC machines including Lathe, Mill, and EDM to ensure the continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations. Perform minor edits to CNC programs, replace tooling as needed, and inspect completed parts using precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Load parts and operate machines such as Lathe, Mill, and EDM.
• Ensure continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations.
• Perform minor edits to CNC programs and replace tooling as needed.
• Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, etc.
• Maintain quality standards through understanding and adherence to the Quality Management System.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operating experience.
• Ability to perform tool changes and operate precision measurement tools.
• Strong understanding of standard CNC controllers such as FANUC.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective time management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of G&M codes is a plus.
• Must be able to perform basic production shop mathematics.
• Knowledge of machining principles and various machining technologies.
• Experience with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, and machine shop operations.

Work Environment

• Work in a clean machine shop environment.
• Night shift lathe operators work Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 1 AM with a 20% shift differential.
• Weekend shift operators work Friday through Sunday, totaling 40 hours with a 35% shift differential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr. Great Health Insurance Benefits 401(k) Plan: Available with company match.
