CNC Machinist

Urgent Hire: CNC Machinist (Contract) Setup Experience Required

We are urgently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong setup experience for a contract role in Lafayette, CO. This position involves setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills or lathes) according to job specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform first article inspections and make necessary adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Maintain quality standards through in-process inspections and deburring.
• Collaborate with team leads and engineers to optimize production.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes.
• Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming basics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.

Shift Options and Pay Differentials

• 2nd Shift: MondayThursday, 3:00 PM 1:00 AM ($8/hour shift differential)
• Weekend Shift: FridaySunday, 6:00 AM 6:00 PM ($6/hour shift differential)

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lafayette, CO.
