CNC Machinist

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision engineering, is seeking a 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinists to join their dedicated team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be an integral part of the Machine Shop supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Daytona Beach, FL

Pay Range: $22-$26 HR (DOE)

Shift: Monday-Friday (1st shift: 7:00 AM-3:30PM) or (2nd shift 3:15PM-11:45PM) What's the Job?

• Operate and adjust CNC machines such as mills and lathes to produce complex parts, assemblies, tool jigs, and fixtures.
• Interpret drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions to ensure parts meet close tolerances.
• Develop proper machining methods using shop math and trigonometry, selecting appropriate feeds, speeds, and tools.
• Perform complex set-ups for self and/or team members to ensure efficient production.
• Use inspection and test tools, including gages and statistical data, to verify part conformance to specifications.

What's Needed?

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with CNC lathes and/or mills in a machine shop environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in using and interpreting precision measuring equipment; CMM experience is a plus.
• Basic programming skills are preferred.
