Lathe Machinist

A dynamic and innovative contract manufacturer specializing in aerospace and defense products is seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist. This role involves precision machining for key clients, utilizing advanced technology to produce high-quality components.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various machines for precision machining, including those with live tooling capabilities.
• Work with Mazatrol programs to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Perform setups, operate machines, change tooling, and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel.
• Handle both low and high production runs efficiently.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in CNC machining and lathe operation.
• Experience with Mazak lathes and DMG turning machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of Mazatrol or strong G&M code experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with manual mills and lathes.
• Competency in mathematics, particularly shop math.
• Proficiency with measuring tools.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances.

The work environment is a climate-controlled, clean machine shop equipped with a wide range of CNC machines and capabilities. The facility is well-lit and continually updated with new machines, providing a modern and efficient workspace.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
