Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Define cloud adoption strategies, migration roadmaps, and reference architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Security by Design:
  • Integrate security principles into all phases of solution design and development, including identity and access management, encryption, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant standards.
• Governance & Risk Management:
  • Establish and enforce cloud security policies, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and architecture reviews for new and existing cloud solutions.
• Collaboration & Enablement:
  • Partner with DevOps, application development, and infrastructure teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and architects across the organization.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with emerging cloud and cybersecurity technologies, threats, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms that enhance Voya's security posture and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and cybersecurity, preferably in the financial services or healthcare industry.
• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), container security (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and DevSecOps practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with zero trust architecture, SASE, and cloud-native security tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, AWS GuardDuty, Azure Defender).
• Familiarity with financial and health data protection regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with security incident response and cloud forensics.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$111,150 - $165,110 USD
