*This position qualifies for our Nursing Support Incentive Program, which includes $5,000 paid over a three (3) year commitment.
Working 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM on a rotating weekday schedule.
The Children's Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is looking for a dedicated individual to provide exceptional post-operative care to pediatric patients in a dynamic 9-bay unit that supports various subspecialties.
The Clinical Support Technician (CST) plays a vital role in assisting professional caregivers with patient care, transporting patients and equipment, managing patient bays, and performing diverse clerical tasks. This position combines the responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant and a Health Unit Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with a diverse team, adapt to the unit's needs, and demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers during routine examinations and procedures, including procuring necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patient care documentation, noting significant changes in conditions, and report them to a registered nurse or physician.
- Perform various clerical tasks, such as organizing workloads, welcoming visitors, answering calls, transcribing orders, and maintaining medical records. Conduct quality assurance audits and inventory checks.
- Support clinical operations by maintaining a clean work area, troubleshooting equipment issues, changing linens, restocking supplies, and assisting in the onboarding of new staff.
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. Measure and record vital signs and assist with other patient care activities as directed.
- Reinforce teaching provided by registered nurses or physicians and document patients' understanding of care instructions.
Additional Information:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience Requirements: No prior experience necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements: Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and capability to develop computer skills.
