POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team as a Class B Delivery Driver, where you'll play a vital role in serving our customers by safely and efficiently transporting products from our warehouse to their locations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely deliveries and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport products to customer locations according to assigned routes.

• Unload products by hand or using hand carts, following company standards and customer specifications.

• Handle damaged goods and customer returns, transporting them back to the warehouse.

• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports.

• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, including maintaining proper temperatures in the delivery vehicle.

• Adhere to preferred work methods and report any unsafe conditions to management.

• Operate assigned equipment safely and maintain good relationships with customers through excellent service.

• Communicate with the management team regarding route deviations and product issues.

• Work assigned schedules, including overtime, to meet customer needs.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.

• Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate effectively.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe delivery practices.

• Strong driving skills over various terrains and weather conditions.

• Effective problem-solving and communication abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job requires regular physical activity, including sitting, lifting, pushing, and climbing in and out of vehicles. Product weights can reach up to 50 pounds, with 350 pounds requiring a hand cart. Vision requirements include the ability to see close and far, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Expect exposure to varying weather conditions and occasional confined spaces. This position typically requires overnight schedules with flexibility for weekends and holidays.
