POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Class B Commercial Driver, you will play a key role in delivering products safely and efficiently from our warehouse to our valued customers. You will ensure timely deliveries and maintain the highest standards of service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations and adhere to assigned delivery schedules.

• Unload products from the trailer by hand or using hand carts, navigating various conditions, and placing products in specified areas according to customer requirements.

• Collect and transport damaged goods and customer returns back to the warehouse.

• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices.

• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and maintain a clean, sanitary vehicle.

• Use preferred work methods and report any unsafe conditions immediately to management.

• Operate all assigned equipment safely, including carts and personal protective equipment.

• Build positive relationships with customers through courteous service and effective communication.

• Inform management of any route deviations or issues with loading or products.

• Meet all scheduled commitments, including weekend and holiday work as required to fulfill customer needs.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience driving tractor trailers preferred.

• Must be able to read and speak English to interact with customers and comply with regulations.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of: DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; Safe lifting and delivery practices.

Skills in: driving long distances, customer communication, problem-solving, and efficient product delivery.

Ability to: safely operate a Class B unit, manage hazardous materials, communicate effectively in English, perform basic math functions, and work independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds and transport up to 350 pounds with a hand cart. Climb in and out of a truck and trailer, reach, bend, and twist while loading and unloading.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

May encounter wet, extreme cold, and humid conditions while working. Must be flexible with work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet customer needs. The associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and should expect moderate noise levels.
