Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat Certification

Clean Harbors is actively seeking a Class A CDL Driver (Hazmat) to join our team. In this role, you will operate various heavy and light-duty trucks, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs, at our customer sites. This position involves both driving and non-driving tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by following all safe work practices and policies
• Drive commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a collaborative team environment
• Load and unload trucks efficiently
• Perform manual labor on site to meet customer needs
• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to comply with Company and DOT regulations
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and other reports
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal compliance regulations
• Safely operate vehicles according to U.S. DOT and company guidelines
• Participate in emergency response on a rotating on-call basis
• Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment
• Must be comfortable using various mobile devices
• Must be physically capable of performing job requirements
• Successfully pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination
• Comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard regarding facial hair

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior commercial driving experience
• Existing Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Experience with hazardous materials
• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Previous manual labor experience
