The selected candidate will engage deeply in the drafting, design, and development processes, ensuring high standards are met and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and draft detailed civil engineering plans from initial concept through to final approval, encompassing both public infrastructure and private site drawings.
Perform rigorous engineering calculations, including hydraulic computations essential in supporting various project designs, using tools such as TR-55, TR-20, and HEC-RAS.
Liaise with clients and consultants to ensure that all design proposals meet both external specifications and internal standards.
Apply current design practices to comply with all jurisdictional, regulatory, and building code requirements.
Facilitate smooth project review and approval processes by coordinating effectively with jurisdictional representatives.
Oversee project management aspects such as tracking milestones, managing deliverables, and maintaining transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate actively within the development team contributing to all phases of project planning and execution.
Complete other related tasks as assigned by the Civil Engineering Department Director to support broader department goals.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Proficient in Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software, skilled in creating and manipulating digital surfaces and sections.
Strong command over Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel, to handle project documentation and calculations.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), organizational skills, and a detail-oriented approach to work.
Ability to perform efficiently within a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
Professional demeanor with effective conflict resolution strategies and a collaborative team spirit.
Willingness to work extended hours when project deadlines make it necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is highly preferred.
A strong interest in achieving Professional Engineer (PE) licensing.
