Your Opportunity

We're looking for a Civil/Water Designer EIT to work with experienced engineers to prepare plans, designs, calculations, costs, and bills of material in accordance with established codes, standards, and drawings.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant engineering elements including the analysis and design of water supply, distribution, and treatment systems, sewerage networks, stormwater management, and land development.
• Perform basic calculations to analyze and design water/wastewater/stormwater system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Assist the team in preparing water/wastewater/stormwater designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.
• Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
• Provide support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications.
• Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
• Perform field work related to construction activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Well-developed understanding of concepts around relevant areas of water/wastewater infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of relevant discipline software programs and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, HydroCAD, and others.
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders, including working in remote/virtual settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively discuss project issues with the project team and support the development of project solutions.
• Must be available to travel for out-of-town projects when required (10% of the time).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with an emphasis on Civil Engineering or related field.
• Up to two years of related work experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range

Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 65,800.00 - Max Salary $ 92,100.00
