Civil CAD Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil CAD Technician (Designer/Drafter) in the LaGrange, GA area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in land development and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2018 or newer). This role involves creating detailed designs and drawings for various land development projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create and manage detailed site designs and drawings.
• Develop civil engineering plans such as alignments, profiles, pipe networks, corridors, and grading objects.
• Prepare drawings for mixed-use development, industrial sites, commercial, and residential projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
• Ensure that all designs and drawings adhere to local, city, county, and government agency requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil drafting and design, specifically in land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (version 2018 or newer).
• Strong understanding of Civil 3D tools including alignments, profiles, pipe networks, corridors, and grading objects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on projects involving municipal, multi-family homes, highways and streets, water supply distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, and erosion control plans.
• Familiarity with NPDES monitoring and local permitting processes.

Compensation:

$22-29 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
