Entry-Level Lab Technician

Summary:

Entry-level lab technician role supporting organic synthesis and polymer research. Involves hands-on wet chemistry, solution preparation, and routine analytical tasks under the guidance of senior researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform wet bench chemistry, including solution and dilution preparation.
• Assist with organic reactions and polymer synthesis under supervision.
• Conduct routine analytical characterization and basic data analysis.
• Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Follow and help improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Accurately record experimental results in lab notebooks.
• Support test material preparation and equipment setup.
• Participate in scientific discussions and collaborative problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S./B.A. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with lab practices and scientific terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
• Undergraduate research experience is a plus.
