Job Schedule: Full time

Weekly Hours: 40.00

Salary Range: $18.50 - $25.50

Pay Info: Enjoy a $4,000 sign-on bonus!

Department Details

This position includes two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts; you will work every other weekend and holiday. Shifts are as follows:

• Evening shift: 2pm to 10:30pm
• Day shift: 6am to 6:30pm

Additionally, there is an extra night differential after 6pm.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will offer resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance, with a focus on the physical and psychological needs of each resident according to their care plan.

The responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
• Helping with safe transfers and mobility, using correct techniques.
• Assisting with meal preparation and providing a positive dining experience.
• Documenting resident interactions and changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Cleaning and maintaining living areas for residents.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, or must be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of starting.
• Completion of annual competency testing and required continuing education, totaling a minimum of 12 hours each year.
