Central NJ Medical Technologist - Technical Support Specialist
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Medical Technologist to join a leading medical lab device manufacturer. This role offers the chance to leverage your laboratory expertise in a dynamic technical support and training capacity. Based in the central New Jersey area, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role during the installation and training phases of our cutting-edge laboratory equipment. Get ready to engage directly with practical problem-solving, software upgrades, and provide essential post-sales support while travelling regionally.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct problem-solving related to reagents, kits, procedures, and software upgrades.
Provision of comprehensive training to other medical technologists on equipment use and laboratory procedures.
Resolution of issues pertaining to reagent performance and compatibility.
Utilization of laboratory knowledge in post-sales support to optimize client satisfaction and equipment reliability.
Representation of the company at seminars, conventions, and professional gatherings, enhancing brand visibility and user engagement.
Delivery of dedicated telephone support to machine operators, ensuring effective resolution of operational queries.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Medical Technologist.
ASCP certification is mandatory.
Proven track record of regional travel with the ability to undertake overnight trips.
Residency in the central New Jersey area required; no relocation offered.
Current legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong coagulation experience, as detailed on the resume, is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in a laboratory setting.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and software integral to laboratory operations.
