CDL Truck Driver

Position Hours: Monday - Friday, starting at 4am, with 8-10 hour workdays and occasional Saturdays.

Compensation: Pay begins at $24-26 per hour, based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.

• Read route sheets and service each customer as directed by the dispatcher.

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checks on fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

• Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, often without assistance.

• Engage courteously with customers and handle various job-related tasks as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Extensive physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

• Exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, requiring adherence to safety protocols.

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, encountering fumes, vibration, and moderate noise levels.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.

• Clean driving record.

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
