What awaits you:

• Great casual/on call role traveling to multiple locations in the National Capital Region. This includes various MD locations (Bethesda, Rockville, Germantown, Urbana, Frederick and Hagerstown), McLean, VA and Washington, D.C.

• Hours: Required to work two 8-hour shifts per week but you may pick up extra shifts if they are available.

*Must be able to train onsite in Baltimore, MD for 1-2 weeks from 8am-5pm.*

As a Medical Office Assistant, you'll:

• Provide excellent customer service to our patients in office and over the phone.
• Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers.
• Check patients in and out, collect copays, and respond to patient messages.
• Verify insurance and collect demographics.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
  • EPIC experience is very helpful!
• Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.

About us:

Salary Range: Minimum 22.00/hour - Maximum 23.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
