CarelonRx Account Manager II
This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands-on engagement. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The CarelonRx Account Manager II is responsible for retention and operational excellence that meets/exceeds client service and satisfaction goals for a complex book of business.
How you will make an impact:
- Cultivates/builds relationships with broker/consultant/client key decision makers through quality service.
- Influences and collaborates with internal partners to deliver best-in-class service including resolving operational issues, root cause analysis, and driving recovery efforts that directly influence account retention and growth.
- Executes client-specific operational deliverables including benefit set up, reporting, and project support as needed.
- Implements/manages contractual obligations including standard performance/operational guarantees and rebate strategies.
- Leverages data to track account performance and identify trends/opportunities for input/recommendations on client growth and retention strategies.
- Responsible for operational understanding of all Rx products and solutions.
- Supports implementation for new/existing clients and contract renewals.
- Trains/mentors lower-level Account Management staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in account management, sales, or managing business/client relationships; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- PBM experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in a client facing role preferred.
- Account management experience preferred.
For URAC accredited areas, the following professional competencies apply: Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $76,440 to $131,040. Locations: District of Columbia (Washington, DC), Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, New York.

The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company. The salary range is the range Elevance Health in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation will vary depending on the above factors as well as market/business considerations. Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
