Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and engineering industry, is seeking a dedicated CAD Operator to join their team. As a CAD Operator, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting project development and production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.

Location: Groton, Connecticut

Pay Range: $56000 - $62400

What's the Job?

• Develop 3D CAD solid models and detailed 2D drawings to support manufacturing and product development.
• Work closely with engineering, project managers, and production staff to translate concepts into practical designs.
• Maintain and update bill of materials and related product data sheets for accuracy and consistency.
• Interface with vendors to resolve design and fabrication issues, ensuring project timelines are met.
• Assist in creating graphical details for operational instructions, manuals, and technical data sheets.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD modeling and drafting, preferably with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DraftSight, with CSWP SolidWorks Professional Certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines efficiently.
