Building Automation Project Manager

My client is a well-respected energy management and building automation distributor for Honeywell and Johnson Controls. They are actively seeking a Project Manager with Installation Project Management experience in the Building Automation industry.

The Project Manager will be directly responsible for project planning, staging, scheduling, and budgeting of concurrent projects. This individual will work to ensure that the scope of assigned projects is completed on schedule and within budget. The Project Manager can expect to work closely with Business Development to understand customer goals and challenges for each assigned project.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Plan project installations
2. Prepare for project installations
3. Proceed to execute projects, ensuring customer satisfaction
4. Generate RFIs in order to clarify project-specific questions / concerns
5. Seek change order opportunities for project-related expectations that appear to be outside of the proposed scope of work
6. Seek outside technical support as necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy of engineered drawings
7. Handle customer technical support as needed
8. Work with the project engineering/management team to maintain quality control, monitor job pace, manpower, and materials
9. Provide job specific answers to job-related questions
10. Review job cost reports and properly align manpower with cash flow
11. Assist project engineering/management team by providing solid input and job progress knowledge for monthly billing
12. Identify, estimate and propose project change orders
13. Act as a liaison between field and shop to enhance overall communication
14. Provide technical support for field personnel as necessary
15. Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to project completion
16. Communicate with management to ensure project closeout
17. Following job completion, submit business development suggestions for further potential opportunities
18. Maintain positive cash flow and profitability on all jobs
