About the Role

As Controller/Bookkeeper, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in independent settings, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about optimizing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Support payroll processing and benefits accounting
• Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory reports
• Collaborate with external accountants for tax filings and financial statement preparation
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows

Qualifications

• 35 years of accounting experience (senior level preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Experience in small business or multi-functional roles
• Familiarity with payroll systems and HR compliance
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a dynamic environment

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
