BIM Transportation Intern

In the role of a BIM Transportation Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Provide real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments and complete tasks under the direct supervision of a professional Engineer or Project Manager
• Develop drawings using BIM Modeling for preliminary and final designs
• Perform basic quantity and geometry calculations while working with a team of Engineers and other designers on various roadway, airfield, or site design projects
• Model linear transportation or site civil design improvements
• Develop detail sheets and plan sets
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA and/or enrolled in 2-year civil engineering technology program
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Knowledge of MicroStation Geopak (ORD) and AutoCAD Civil3D
• Willingness to learn how to implement 3D BIM model to use for visualizations, photo realistic renderings, animations, and virtual reality applications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
