Substation Engineer Intern

Substation Interns will perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager. Tasks may include:

• • Assisting in the design and development of for power substations, which could include structural and foundation design.
  • Assist Substation Engineers in preparing design packages
  • Develop, prepare, and modify substation drawings, including A/C diagrams, D/C schematics, and logic and functional diagrams
  • Performing simple calculations
  • Participate in field reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed

• • Prefer 2 years completed towards engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA

  • Courses in Power/Energy a plus

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

  • Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for consideration.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
