Scope of Work: MRO/Spare Parts Analyst
1.0 Project Overview
This role supports the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) department by
optimizing the inventory of critical spare parts for manufacturing equipment. The goal is
to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness through data-driven analysis
and technical expertise.
2.0 Objectives
• To identify and categorize critical spare parts.
• To establish a data-driven ordering strategy that balances cost and operational
readiness.
• To develop and maintain a robust tracking system for spare parts inventory.
3.0 Key Responsibilities
The MRO/Spare Parts Analyst will be responsible for the following:
• Analysis & Collaboration: Analyze historical data on equipment wear and
failure, considering factors like supplier lead times and part history. They will
collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance teams to determine part
criticality.
• Project Integration: Quickly integrate into a new equipment delivery project that
is currently behind schedule to prevent further delays.
• Reporting & Tools: Utilize Google-based applications (Sheets, Docs), Excel,
and JIRA to track progress and generate reports on spare parts status and
recommendations.
4.0 Required Skills & Qualifications
• Technical Background: Strong background in engineering or maintenance.
• Computer Proficiency: Highly proficient in all Google-based applications, Excel,
and JIRA.
• Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
5.0 Deliverables
• A detailed report on critical spare parts for key manufacturing equipment.
• A documented spare parts ordering and inventory strategy.
Internal
• A functional data dashboard or tracking sheet.
• Regular progress updates within JIRA.
