Behavioral Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Behavioral SPED Teacher to support an elementary classroom in Elgin, Texas. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through May 21, 2026. The classroom is group-based and supported by a co-teacher and three paraprofessionals.

Position Highlights

• Location: Elgin, TX
• Grade Level: Elementary
• Caseload: 1213 students split across two classrooms
• Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $48/hour
• Modality: In-person preferred; virtual interview available

Key Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral intervention plans
• Redirect challenging behaviors and support emotional regulation
• Collaborate with co-teacher and paras
• No FBA responsibilities required

Requirements

• Valid Texas SPED certification
• Resume and certification required for submission
• School-based behavioral experience preferred
