Serving the needs of the surrounding communities, Willoughby Hills Family Health Center offers patients a wide variety of pediatric, family medicine, radiology, and cardiology services. The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist plays a pivotal role by managing program referrals, coordinating care, linking students and caregivers to resources, conducting comprehensive assessments, and providing multigenerational clinical services. This role offers exciting learning opportunities with the support of an experienced and mission-oriented team. This position will be an outpatient therapist at Willoughby FHC and co-facilitate anxiety group at Hillcrest Hospital. There is also an opportunity to provide outpatient therapy to students in Lakewood.

A caregiver in this position works M-F, 8:00am6:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and treatment plans to patients.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
• Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
• Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.
• Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies, and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers, and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.
• Educate and provide resources to patients and families.
• Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students, or interns.
• Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports.
• 3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients.
• Ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment and the ability to communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provide base.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have worked in a team atmosphere with psychologist and pediatric providers.
• Has provided developmental, behavioral, and diagnostic guidance to primary care pediatric caregiver team.
• Skilled in brief interventions and psychoeducation with children and families.

Physical Requirements:

• A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
