In our 1:1 ABA therapy environment, you will engage with children aged 18 months to 8 years, utilizing ethical, evidence-based techniques in a supportive, center-based setting. Key Responsibilities of a Behavior Therapist
- Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in realizing their full potential through reading treatment plans, delivering therapy as outlined, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and applying feedback from supervisors during observations.
- Encourage development in young children through engaging, fun therapeutic activities.
- Collaborate with your team members to enhance treatment effectiveness, safety, and create a positive working atmosphere.
- Connect with children through play, movement, and imitation, which can include energetic activities like running and singing or quieter moments such as reading a story or playing with toys.
- Maintain effective communication with peers, families, and supervisors, coordinating activities, celebrating achievements, and advocating for children's needs.
Requirements
- Physical Ability: Lift and carry children weighing up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, and move quickly to actively engage with children while ensuring a safe and tidy environment.
- Organizational Skills: Keep therapy areas clean and organized to support a stimulating experience for children.
- Multitasking: Handle various tasks and communications while prioritizing safety and effectiveness.
- Team Support: Work cohesively with colleagues, possibly including travel to nearby centers for additional support when needed.
- Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Minimum age of 18 years and a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Complete the RBT certification within 20 days of employment by undertaking a 40-hour training course, passing a hands-on competency assessment, and successfully passing the board's exam.

Pay is competitive based on experience & education:
- Associates/High School: $15.00 - $22.50
- Bachelors: $15.00 - $24.00
- Masters: $16.00 - $26.00
For entry-level candidates, the first raise is available upon earning your RBT certification, typically within 21 days.
Preferred Experience:
- Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, etc.)
- Experience in mental health (behavioral health technicians, QMHPs)
- Camp counselors, volunteers, or teachers
- Degrees in education, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
- Experience as paraprofessionals or direct support staff
- A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Desire to join a collaborative, caring culture
