Battery Systems Technician - Data Center

Our client, a leading data center operations provider, is seeking a Generator Technician to join their team. As a Generator Technician, you will be part of the maintenance and support team responsible for ensuring reliable backup power systems in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Generator Technician - Data Center (Contract)
Location: Onsite - Mt. Pleasant, WI
Duration: 6-24-month contract
Pay Rate: $43.00/hr. - $48.00/hr.
What's the Job?

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel generators and related fuel systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to uphold operational standards.
• Monitor and test generator performance and readiness to prevent outages.
• Coordinate with electrical teams to ensure proper integration with switchgear and power transfer systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and operational purposes.

What's Needed?

• Experience working with diesel generator systems and fuel storage solutions.
• Knowledge of electrical load sizing and switchgear operations.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and service manuals effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as EGSA or NFPA 110 are preferred.
