Restaurant Bartender

The role of restaurant bartenders is to ensure positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include utilizing high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs, and spices to create sensational drinks for guests. Bartenders greet guests, take beverage orders, mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages in compliance with company standards, maintain bottles and glasses, provide information on wine characteristics, evaluate guest needs, and serve wine using proper techniques. They work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase, handle cash, collect payment, and ensure the bar area is equipped with necessary tools and products. Bartenders serve food items to guests, demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage products, maintain a clean working area, and complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications include the ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, experience as a bartender, extensive knowledge of drink recipes, ability to create and serve drinks in a timely manner, extensive knowledge of wines, personal hygiene, ability to work independently or in a team, willingness to exceed guest expectations, effective listening and direction-taking skills, excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette, ability to communicate in English, ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items, ability to transport up to 50 lbs, and a working email for communication with managers.
