Position Details

This is banquet cook position, requiring experience cooking for large functions. This position is eligible for $500 in sign on bonuses ($250 paid after 30 days; $250 paid after 90 days), in addition to quarterly performance incentives and monthly attendance bonuses. Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to produce meals for large events. The Banquet Cook assists the culinary leadership team in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, banquet events and cafeteria.

Your Role

• Availability to work when needed to produce banquet meals on a combination of shifts
• Develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (banquet food prep, grill, saut and fry)
• Experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
• Read and recreate recipes
• Be consistent on all food preparation
• Learn how to minimize food waste through cross utilization
• Work with a world class culinary team
• Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Be responsible for the quality of ingredients

Qualifications

Previous culinary experience required.

Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $17.50/Hr. - $17.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
