About the Role

In this vital leadership role, you will lead a team of controls technicians tomaintain, troubleshoot, andmodifymaterial handling controls systems equipment to ensureoptimaloperational performance.

What You'll Do

• n

  Fix andmodifysoftware programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, Allen BradleyControllogix/CompactlogixPLC platform andRSLogix5000 software package.

  n

• n

  Monitor Industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet,DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.

  Act as first-level support for the Control Systems Technician team.

  n

• n

  Monitor material handling equipment metrics and partner with Controls Technicians and Mechanics to resolve equipment electrical problems that create performance deficiencies.

  Perform controls systems assessments tomaintainand improve equipment reliability.

  n
n
• n

  Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipmentvendorsand parts suppliers to plan and coordinatenew technologyinstallations; acting as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the facility.

  Clearly communicate technical issues, project timelines, and product impacts with site leadership,operationsand the maintenance teams.

  n

• n

  Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and the Operations Maintenance team members.

• n

  Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures

What You'll Need

n
• n

  Associate degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.

  n
n
• n

  Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience with motor controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components).

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience with programming HMI components.

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls.

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience with SCADA systems.

  n
n
• n

  Experience interpreting andmodifyingmechanical and electrical drawings.

  n
n
• n

  Physical requirementsincludingstooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Preferred Qualifications

n
• n

  2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming.

  n
n
• n

  Experience supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation systems.

  n
n
• n

  Project Management experience with the ability to train others.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with robotic maintenance.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC's and PLC components.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with SCADA systems and KPI's.

  n
n
