Overview

Our client team is seeking a skilled consultant with strong Python and Shell scripting experience to support its Monitoring and Event Management Platforms.

  Our client is responsible for the enterprise-wide monitoring infrastructure, which includes tools such as Glassbox, Tivoli, Dynatrace, Splunk, and ATM monitoring systems.

  This role is part of the team that owns and maintains IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Netcool Omnibus, though prior experience with these tools is not required.

Key Responsibilities

n
• n

  Maintain and enhance existing Shell scripts used across monitoring platforms.

  n
n
• n

  Migrate legacy Shell scripts to Python for improved scalability and maintainability.

  n
n
• n

  Develop Python-based automation solutions to replace manual operational tasks.

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with platform engineers and monitoring tool SMEs to ensure seamless integration and performance.

• n

  Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills

• n

  Strong proficiency in Python (automation, scripting, data handling).

  Solid experience with Shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, etc.).

• n

  Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $77.00 - $77.00/hr.
