Selectek is hiring for an Automation Controls Programmer in the Ames, IA area.

Required:

• 2-years of programming experience in either of the following.
• PLC programming such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC systems or the like.
• HMI programming such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution or the like.

• Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, and clients.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
• 50% of non-overnight travel within Iowa.
• 20% of overnight travel within the Midwest.

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year associate's degree in Automation related field.
• Information Technology experience

Job Responsibilities:

• PLC and HMI code development primarily for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems.
• Control system commissioning including instrumentation and motor control devices.
• Communications network commissioning including fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies.
• Manage all project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements.
• Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases as well as for aftermarket support.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $130,000 + $15,000 - $20,000 annual bonus, 100% Paid Company vehicle, gas card, phone, computer, can use 100% for personal use as well!

$60/HR extra on-call pay, which is typically a week at a time (rare)

Ames, IA 50010

Hours & Shift:

Monday Friday, 7:30AM- 4:30PM with 1 HR. Lunch (will vary based on project & travel schedules)

Work from home:

Down the road, once they have proven themselves

Work remote:

Need them to be local to Ames.

Travel:

50-75% (Majority of travel is local)
