Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm
KARL STORZ is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler I to join our Imaging team in Charlton, MA. In this role, you will assemble high-quality endoscope imaging systems in our glass fiberoptics department, working with precision optical and mechanical components.

KARL STORZ is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler I to join our Imaging team in Charlton, MA. In this role, you will assemble high-quality endoscope imaging systems in our glass fiberoptics department, working with precision optical and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble intricate optical and mechanical components using microscopes and hand tools
- Perform tasks such as epoxying, polishing, cleaning, and inspection
- Follow written assembly procedures and meet productivity and quality standards
- Properly complete all required production documents
- Load/unload ovens and handle various assembly tools and equipment
- Cross-train across other value streams as needed
- Produce and maintain accurate production records
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Comply with FDA, ISO 13485/9001 standards and all safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in miniature precision assembly (medical products preferred)
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; ability to effectively handle extremely small optical components
- Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs and technical drawings/manufacturing procedures
- Comfortable working with adhesives, solvents, and small tools
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Extended periods of detailed assembly work under a microscope
- Excellent manual dexterity with small motor coordination and keen vision
- Ability to wear gloves or finger cots
- Ability to climb stairs and move between work areas as needed
- Willing and able to comply with all environmental and safety laws and regulations, including the Company's environmental and safety policies
- Responsible for informing the Company if taking medications or if there are any other circumstances that would interfere with safe performance of job duties.
