Assembler 1st & 2nd Shift

Assembler - 2nd and 3rd Shift

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Assemblers for the 2nd and 3rd shifts, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of mandatory overtime. Candidates must be open to early start times for the first shift, and flexible with job duties and department assignments.

Responsibilities

• Work in teams of 4-5 to assemble and inspect sunglasses from start to finish.
• Screw, glue, and fasten individual pieces of sunglasses together, preparing them for lens installation and quality auditing.
• Install lenses into frames and glue icons onto frames.
• Use small tools to insert small screws or pins to hold frames together.
• Work with pad printer to mix paint for pad printing and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Sand and buff the gate/burr off the center frame.
• Send assembled products to the Quality Auditor for final inspection before packaging.
• Set up workstations at the start of each shift, potentially building different models each day.
• Rotate through different job duties to limit repetitive movements.
• Stand and walk throughout the shift, wearing comfortable shoes/insoles.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for 8-10+ hours a day.
• Good attendance with a three-strikes mentality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No experience required, but previous experience in a similar role is helpful.
• Ability to work with small hand tools and/or power tools.
• Flexibility and adaptability in job duties and department assignments.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing setting with highly repetitive short-cycle assembly tasks. Employees are required to stand throughout their shifts, with a casual dress code including close-toed shoes. Eyewear is provided and must be worn at all times. Protective earplugs may be required in certain departments, and regular stretches are scheduled before and after lunch. Employees have the potential to move up into lead or controller positions based on their performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Foothill Ranch, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.97 - $19.97/hr.
