Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Government Site - Full Time in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing patrols and other assigned duties.
• Follow all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training guidelines specific to armed patrol posts in government environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
