As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a corrections environment. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity, and respond to situations as needed. Job Schedule:

DayTime Thur 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a corrections environment, providing customer service to clients and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter and report suspicious behavior or breaches of facility rules.
• Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and communicating with relevant personnel as required.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement personnel as needed to support the security-related operations of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience or 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Holding a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
