We are seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our Buildings practice. As a contributor on our professional Buildings team, you will work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible, cutting-edge designs. Your experience ensures you are quite familiar with construction plans, specifications, estimates, and building codes. You will be innovating and creating new prototypes designed with sustainable products with green architecture sensibility as your goals. You will lead the development of integrated design proposals, develop and manage integrated work plans, manage project financials, and coordinate with clients, while leading and mentoring others and collaborating with team members to contribute to the final deliverables as required under instruction from the Project Leader.
Your key responsibilities include: managing complex tasks on small, medium to large size projects; planning, organizing, and directing the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client; keeping the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables; leading the client and project team to assure the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent; assisting in the negotiation and development of project agreements; developing and managing project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance; mentoring Assistant Project Managers and motivating project teams; assuring that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented for compliance; leading project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors; and managing and tracking change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
Your capabilities and credentials include: simultaneously supporting one or more Principal's in Charge on multiple projects; thorough understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards; taking direction well, however, proactively taking appropriate action without requiring continued direction; effectively managing multiple deadlines and priorities; being a team player with the client, entire project team, and contractor; effectively managing project team and aligning workloads to project delivery schedule and costs; being an effective negotiator and communicator; understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; prefer experience with Revit, SketchUp, and Bluebeam; and possessing a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and experience requirements include: a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; licensed Architect, California preferred; California Healthcare (HCAI) experience preferred; minimum of 10 years of experience; experience with leading and implementation of Lean Tools preferred; and LEED Green Associate or LEED AP a plus.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range: Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 98,200.00 - Max Salary $ 142,300.00

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
