Appliance Delivery Associate
As an Appliance Delivery Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing our customers' experience by assisting with the delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of various appliances and equipment. Known internally as a Delivery Experience Cadet, you will be responsible for a range of order fulfillment duties that include integrating and networking consumer electronics, as well as helping with installations. You will be tasked with determining the best approach for delivering major appliances, ensuring that protective measures are in place during transit, and deciding on necessary adjustments such as detaching doors or relocating fixtures.
Your Responsibilities
- Attend appointments independently or lead a two-person crew, completing basic installations and repairs of home theater equipment and appliances.
- Assess the best routes for bringing major appliances into client homes, taking careful measurements and ensuring protection of paths.
- Remove and reinstall doors and panels as necessary to facilitate smooth appliance delivery and installation.
- Support clients by offering advice on optimal product placement and service options to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory and maintain vehicle readiness.
- Handle paperwork and payment processing, offer feedback to store teams, and assist with in-store repairs.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery.
- Possess a current, valid driver's license.
- Maintain a driving record that aligns with Best Buy's safety standards.
- Capability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team using support tools (harness, dolly, lift) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Acquire and uphold any necessary state or local licensing within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and strong communication skills.
- Experience in managing client relations effectively.
