A&P Mechanic

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft. This role involves documenting all work performed in accordance with the appropriate manuals and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Operate ground support equipment as needed.
• Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
• Assist with fueling and de-fueling of aircraft.
• Assist with engine removal and installation.
• Assist with aircraft component repair.

Essential Skills

• Possess an A&P Certificate.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working on aircraft or 1-2 years working on corporate jets.
• At least 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms regarding individual and aircraft status.
• Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control.
• Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
• Capability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
• Ability to work in seasonal or inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge if applicable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft is preferred.
• Basic PC skills are preferred.

Addition $875 per diem/weekly on top of straight pay listed below.

Work Environment

Work hours are on the second shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, or on a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, working three 12-hour days totaling 36 hours. The role may require working in various weather conditions and includes the possibility of overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $51.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
