Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial concepts and experience with accounting software, contributing significantly to our financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable transactions, including vendor setup and maintenance.
• Ensure accurate invoice verification and three-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt).
• Process and analyze large volumes of invoice and payment data using advanced Excel functions.
• Maintain accurate records and support audit and tax documentation.
• Resolve discrepancies quickly and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Prepare journal entries and support employee expense reimbursement processes.

Essential Skills

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, and COUNTIF.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with 3-4 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage high transaction volumes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for vendor interactions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Experience with other accounting software is a plus.
• Familiarity with tax-related document preparation.

Work Environment

This position operates in an office environment, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The work involves using various accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite. The role requires a high level of integrity and discretion, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
