2nd Shift Diesel Technician - Sign-On Bonus Available

Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Technician ! We are excited to offer a sign-on bonus of $2,500 for the right candidate!

2ND SHIFT Hours: 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform essential repairs including routine maintenance, and fixing engines, chassis, body components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels, and tires.

• Inspect trucks and equipment for condition, operations, parts, fluid levels, and more.

• Demonstrate knowledge in hydraulic repairs.

• Utilize vehicle computer systems to diagnose issues and identify repairs needed.

• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Complete required records using our fleet maintenance software.

• Address repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace adhering to corporate and OSHA standards.

• Follow safety protocols during repairs.

• Communicate effectively regarding needed repairs or tasks.

• Be prepared for extensive physical activity and heavy lifting (objects over 50 pounds).

• Work may take place indoors in a shop or outdoors. Expect to work in various positions and environments while ensuring safety precautions are followed.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

• Personal tools are necessary; welding and fabrication experience is a significant advantage!

• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
