As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will be working on PCBA and wire harness design for surgical robotics. You will work with your mentor to follow the design process as you work through requirements, schematics, layout, build, test, and peer reviews. Additionally, there will be opportunity to gain some experience working on a project in Systems Engineering. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking robotics projects and contribute to the development of next-generation medical devices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design & Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test electrical systems for new medical devices.
- Robotics Integration: Assist in the development and integration of robotic components and systems, enhancing the functionality and precision of our medical devices.
- Research & Innovation: Conduct research and feasibility studies to explore innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Prototyping & Testing: Participate in the prototyping and testing of electrical circuits and systems.
- Documentation: Support the documentation of design processes, test results, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth progression of projects.
Majors targeted: Electrical Engineering
What you need:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field.
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
