Responsibilities:

• Perform all responsibilities outlined in the Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist roles.
• Provide clinical and administrative support for the team while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track X-ray orders to ensure prompt completion and submission.
• Assist patients with proper positioning during exams for optimal diagnostic quality.
• Conduct activities in compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining knowledge of HIPAA and health information management issues.
• Review images for initial reading by the provider and send final images to the Radiology group for over-reading.
• Ensure correct labeling of all images and confirm proper technique usage during exams.
• Address minor maintenance issues with X-ray equipment and consult with the nurse coordinator or Clinic Director as needed.
• Monitor equipment condition in the X-ray room and report any issues to the Imaging Director.
• Distribute pregnancy waiver forms when necessary.
• Triage patients by recording vitals and collecting clinical history for proper charting.
• Perform minor nursing tasks such as blood draws and injections when not engaged in imaging activities.
• Maintain awareness of X-ray badge usage and reporting as required.
• Welcome new employees and facilitate their introductions, providing an overview of clinic procedures.
• Support new employee training through job shadowing and coaching.
• Foster friendly relationships with all team members and clients to maintain a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Comply with the company’s operational standards and core values: teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.

Experience Requirements and Preferences:

• Current License or Certification:
• ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
• State License (Registered Technologists and Limited Scope)
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment.
• Experience Levels:
• Level 1: High School Diploma or equivalent, current CPR license, and at least 1 year of experience as a certified RT(R) or limited scope X-ray tech preferred in a clinic setting.
• Level 2: Certified RTR with a current CPR license and 1-3 years of direct patient care experience.
• Level 3: Certified RTR with a CPR license and 3-7 years of experience, with additional responsibilities including increased X-ray volume handling and training in ortho-glass techniques.
• Level 4: Certified RTR with a CPR license and over 7 years of experience in direct patient care with administrative duties.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

License Requirements:

Limited Scope X-Ray Technologist License, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Full Scope X-Ray Technologist State License.
