Minimum Qualifications: Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

• Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided:
• WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
• PA: Pharmacist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
• MD: Pharmacist license through the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
• OH: Pharmacist license through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications: Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.

Experience: 1. Experience in at least ONE of the following areas:

• Completion of a PGY-2 Residency in an applicable clinical field
• Completion of a PGY-1 Residency AND Board Certified in an applicable clinical field
• Completion of a PGY-1 Residency AND three years of relevant pharmacist experience
• Three (3) years of relevant pharmacist experience AND Board Certified in an applicable clinical field

Additional Job Description:

This position is for an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist that will have the opportunity to care for patients with all types of cancer being cared for at all sites of care at WVUH. This role will provide float coverage for all existing oncology pharmacist roles in the inpatient and ambulatory setting, to allow for vacation time, comp day, and project day coverage of existing roles.

Daily activities will include: Supporting oncologists, hematology/oncology fellows, hospitalists, and other providers in medication therapy management of patients receiving inpatient and ambulatory treatment (parenteral and enteral), educating patients and clinical staff, precepting students and residents, and participating in oncology related committees. This pharmacist will work closely with their inpatient oncology pharmacy specialists (TCT/Malignant Hematology and Solid Timor focused roles), our 11 Ambulatory Oncology/Hematology Clinical Specialists, our Investigational Drug Pharmacists, oncology nurses, and oncologists.
