The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia's largest health system and the state's largest employer. The Health System operates West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022. Qualified applicants must have an MD, MD/PHD or DO degree (or its foreign equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
