The Sonographer Women's Specialty Care performs diagnostic sonographic imaging of fetal and maternal anatomy, urinary and gynecologic anatomy or any other diagnostic studies as deemed necessary by the physician for interpretation and/or intervention. This individual assists the Perinatologist, Urogynecology and/or other physician specialist in patient care and procedures.

• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Assesses the patient's physical condition and age specific needs.
• Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Acquires patient's clinical history and provide accurate documentation for invasive procedures.
• Documents patient weight, blood pressure and other pertinent information depending on patient status.
• Assesses sonographic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent

3 years sonographer experience, and a documented track record of leadership experience.

ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography

BCLS - Basic Life Support

Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

Nuchal Translucency NTQR Certified is preferred for Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographers

Preferred qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of sonography

3 years' experience in either obstetric and perinatal sonography, urogynecology sonography and/or other specialized diagnostic studies.

A history of working with a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, Urogynecology and/or other specialty trained physicians in the past.
