Welding Supervisor

We are seeking a Welding Supervisor to execute the production plan set forth by leadership. This role involves interpreting drawings and ensuring the team is set up to achieve goals, inspecting finished products to ensure specifications are met, troubleshooting repairs, managing the safety program, approving weekly time cards, and training and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute the production plan as directed by leadership.
• Interpret technical drawings and coordinate the team to meet production goals.
• Inspect completed products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs.
• Manage the safety program to ensure a safe working environment.
• Approve weekly time cards for team members.
• Train and develop staff to enhance skills and productivity.

Essential Skills

• Experience in welding environments.
• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Fabrication skills.
• Supervisory skills, with experience managing a team of 14 employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable with material handling equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a machine shop within a fabrication setting, which is not temperature controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.44 - $29.44/hr.
